asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many times the Advisory Committee on Services for Hearing Impaired People has met; and if she will make a statement.

The committee has met twice and it is too early to say what advice it is likely to give. My hon. Friend may like to know that so far the committee has appointed two working groups to consider the rĂ´le of the graduate scientist in audiology and the rehabilitation of the adult hearing-impaired respectively.
