asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will now answer the letters from the hon. Member for Ormskirk on the subject of clearance orders relating to houses in Rainford.

I have received one letter from my hon. Friend concerning the possible rehabilitation of properties in Rainford and replied to it on 3rd February 1975.

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will take steps special steps to expedite consideration of a letter of 31st December from Islington Borough Council relating to Sekforde estate, Finsbury.

Yes, the Department has recently received additional information from the borough council amplifying its earlier letter, and it is receiving urgent consideration.
