asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the value in 1974–75 of the transfer of funds from inner London to outer London boroughs under the London Rate Pooling Scheme; and what would be the transfer if the inner London contribution remains at a 2p rate.

About £21 million in both cases, on the estimates of the London Boroughs Association. However, because of inflation this sum would represent a smaller transfer in real terms in 1975–76 than in 1974–75.
