asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many persons of Chilean nationality have in the last six months been granted permission to reside permanently in the United Kingdom.

32 during the six-month period June-November 1974, the latest period for which figures are available. In addition, during the six months ending 14th February 484 Chilean refugees were granted permission to enter the United Kingdom for limited periods in the first instance.
