asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list in the Official Report those persons considered to be of similar standing as set out in section 7 of the passport application form "B".

I regret that it is not possible to furnish an exhaustive list of persons whose standing is similar to that of the examples given in section 7 of application form "B". The criterion is that a counter-signatory should be someone who is unlikely to jeopardise his professional career or reputation by irresponsibly sponsoring a passport application.
