asked the Secretary of State for Wales (1) what is the shortfall in radiographers for therapeutic purposes in each area health authority in Wales;(2) what is the shortfall in radiographers for diagnostic purposes in each area health authority in Wales.

In the absence of nationally determined standards, staffing levels are matters for individual employing authorities. The additional numbers of radiographers—in whole-time equivalents—currently required by area health authorities in Wales are:
