asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many local authorities have applied to the Secretary of State for an order under paragraph 13 of Schedule 1 to the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960; how many have been granted; and to which local authorities.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many caravan sites and caravan pitches there are in Scotland, at the latest available date, which do not have a site licence by virtue of Schedule 1 to the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960; and how many of these are partly or wholly for residential use.

This information is not available. The provisions of Schedule 1 to the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 do not require individual cases to be notified to me.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) how many appeals have been made in Scotland under Section 7 of the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960; and in how many cases the conditions were varied or cancelled;(2) in how many cases Scottish local authorities have made use of Section 9(3) of the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 to recover the costs of repairs;(3) how many appeals in Scotland have been made under Section 8 of the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960: and how many appeals have been allowed, respectively.

Separate statistics are not kept for applications to the court under this Act. I regret, therefore, that this information is not available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many local authorities provide caravan sites under Section 24 of the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960; how many of these are for residential use; and how many are for holiday purposes.

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Edinburgh, Central (Mr. Cook) on 7th March.—[Vol. 887, c. 536.]
