asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what quantities, by weight and value, of the main species of fish were caught by non-EEC countries in the area around England and Wales and Northern Ireland which would fall within the proposed 200-mile fishing limit in each of the past five years.

Figures are only available for the United Kingdom as a whole. Following are estimates, in thousands of metric tons, of the quantities for 1972 caught within waters that would be covered by the terms used in the hon. Member's Question, Similar information is not readily available for earlier years, and is not yet complete for 1973 and 1974.
