asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how many persons receiving industrial disablement pension on the latest available date also receive supplementary benefit in (a) Great Britain and (b) Wales;(2) how many persons in the latest available data receiving industrial disablement benefit as a result of being certified as suffering from pneumoconiosis also receive supplementary benefit in (

a) Great Britain and ( b) Wales;

(3) what is her estimate of the total cost of ( a) disregarding £4 of industrial

disablement pension when calculating resources for supplementary benefit purposes, and ( b) totally disregarding industrial disablement pension.

I regret that this information is not readily available and could only be obtained at a disproportionate cost in staff time.
