asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he is satisfied that proposed valve manufacturing capacity will not mean over-production of valves and excessive domestic competition.

The British Valve Manufacturers' Association has reported a continuing strong demand for valves and regards the prospects as fairly buoyant. It has been estimated that the growth of the market will be some 7 per cent. per annum.
