asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection what is the average percentage rise in the housewife's food bill since 1st January 1973; and what effect the subsidies borne by the Exchequer, mentioned in her reply to the hon. Member for Banbury on 17th March, had on that rise.
