asked the Secretary of State for Trade (1) what steps he is taking to attract Commonwealth and foreign students to the College of Air Training, Hamble, Hampshire;(2) what future he offers the College of Air Training, Hamble, Hampshire; and what steps he is taking to reduce the extent of staff redundancies.

Direction of the affairs of the College of Air Training at Hamble rests with its governing body in consultation with British Airways. I am sure that every effort will be made to secure new business for the college in order to retain as many employment opportunities as possible.
