Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what proportion of the NATO infrastructure budget is borne by each of the members of the alliance.

Mr. Mason

The current contributions are:the United Kingdom, the Federal Republic of Germany and France, respectively, in each of the past 10 years.

The percentage contributions to NATO infrastructure and NATO military and civil budgets, as set out in the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for Wells (Mr. Boscawen) on 15th April—[Vol. 890, c. 51–2.]—applied throughout, except that 14-nation cost shares were introduced only after 1966.

Mr. Clemitson

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what has been the percentage increase in constant price terms in the United Kingdom contribution to the budget of NATO from 1965–66 to 1974–75.
