asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will publish in the Official Report the total number of persons in Cornwall all ages, under 1, 1 to 4, 5 to 14, 15 to 44, 45 to 64, 65 and over, for each of the past 10 years, her estimates of changes over the next five years, together with a comparison with similar figures for Great Britain.

Figures for Cornwall in the detail asked for are available only for 1971 to 1974 and are as follows:expenditure in the Trent Regional Health Authority for the years 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980, respectively.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the estimated annual NHS capital expenditure in the Oxford Regional Health Authority on services for the mentally ill for 1976 to 1980.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the estimated total National Health Service capital expenditure in the Mersey Regional Health Authority for the years 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the estimated total National Health Service capital expenditure in the South East Thames Regional Health Authority for the years 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the estimated total National Health Service capital expenditure in the Wessex and London Regional Health Authorities for the years 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980.

Details of the estimated expenditure in 1975–76 are given in the reply my right hon. Friend gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Preston, North (Mr. Atkins) on 15th April.—[Vol. 890, c. 85–8.] Allocations for 197677 onwards have not yet been made.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the estimated total National Health Service capital expenditure in the East Anglia Regional Health Authority for the years 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980, respectively.

Allocations for 1976–77 onwards have not yet been made, but the total for 1975–76 is estimated to be £12·2 million.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the estimated total annual National Health Service revenue expenditure for the Mersey Regional Health Authority for the years 1976 to 1980.

The revenue allocations to these regional health authorities for 197576 are as follows. Allocations for the further years have not yet been made.

There is no East Midland Regional Health Authority.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what was the total annual National Health Service revenue expenditure for the East Anglia Regional Health Authority for the years 1965 to 1975; and what is the estimated total for the years 1976 to 1980.

I would refer my hon. Friend to my reply today to my hon. Friend the Member for Edmonton (Mr. Graham), which gives information for the years 1964–65 to 1973–74. The total revenue expenditure for the East Anglian Regional Health Authority is provisionally estimated at £66 million for 1974–75 and at £71 million for 1975–76. Regional estimates for subsequent years are not available.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will list for Hampshire for the years 1965 to 1975, and as estimates for the years 1975 to 1980, (a) the total annual capital expenditure on social services, (b) the total annual capital expenditure on services for the mentally handicapped and the mentally ill within the social services provision, and (c) the total annual capital expenditure on services for the physically handicapped within the social services provision.

The information requested is not available. The only figures that can be provided for Hampshire County Council are as follows:

1. Figures submitted by the local authority do not distinguish between capital expenditure on services for the mentally ill and the mentally handicapped.

2. Total capital expenditure on services for the physically handicapped cannot be separately identified.

3. Information is not yet available for the financial years 1973–74, 1974–75 and 1975–76.

4. Allocations of capital have not yet been made for 1976–77 onwards.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the planned NHS capital expenditure for the Hampshire Area Health Authority for the current year; what is he estimate for the future capital expenditure for the years 1976 to 1980, respectively; and how that expenditure is divided in each year between the major fields of health care, namely, geriatric, mental health, paediatric, etc.

The planned capital expenditure—including expenditure for the development of the Southampton teaching hospital—by Hampshire AHA during 1975–76 is £9·3 million. At this stage it is not possible to provide figures under the various headings requested, and estimates for subsequent years are not yet available.
