asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will take steps to alleviate the cash flow problems of car components manufacturers in the West Midlands in view of the depressed state of the automobile industry which is producing problems for suppliers.

The Government are monitoring a close watch on all sectors of industry and their problems, and are keeping under review any measures needed within the priorities of demands on available resources.
