asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many persons have escaped from either prisons or from police custody in Northern Ireland in each of the last five years; how many of these persons were imprisoned for, or charged with, terrorist type offences; how many were known to be members of the IRA; and how many were known to be members of a Protestant para-military organisation.
