asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps the Government have taken or propose to take to protect the property of British residents in Portugal.

There is little to add to the Written Answer which my right hon. Friend the Minister of State gave to a Question from the hon. and learned Member for Denbigh (Mr. Morgan) on 17th April.—[Vol. 890, c. 157–8]—We remain in close touch with the Portuguese Government, whose responsibility this is.
