asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the current level of unemployment in the construction industry; and what proportion the number of unemployed persons represents of unemployment in all sectors of economic life.

On 9th June, 149,834 unemployed people, or 17ยท8 per cent. of the total unemployed in Great Britain, last worked in construction.
