asked the Secretary of State for Social Services, according to figures obtained for the General Household Survey, what proportion of household expenditure was spent on rates for each of the following income groups: (1) under £2,000 per annum, (2) £2,000–£4,000 per annum, (3) £4,000-£16,000 per annum, (4) £6,000–£8,000 per annum, (5) £8,000–£10,000 per annum, and (6) over £10,000.
