asked the Secretary of State for Employment when he expects the new job centre to be provided at Wigston, Leicestershire, will be in operation.

I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that the employment service agency is unable to say when the Wigston Jobcentre will be in operation. A building recently identified in Wigston for adaptation as a jobcentre was subsequently found to be unsuitable. The Property Services Agency is continuing an active search for an alternative jobcentre site.
