asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the present relationship of the Falkland Islands and their Dependencies with the European Community; and on what date it became effective.

Pending their full association with the European Economic Community in accordance with Article 117 of the Act of Accession to the Community Treaties, the interim trade provisions came into effect for the Falkland Islands and their Dependencies on 1st August.
