asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement on discussions he has held with interested bodies relating to changes in the law concerning picketing during a trade dispute; and if he will list the bodies and state when he expects to bring forward legislation.

My discussions as Home Secretary have been with the police. Other discussions have been with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Employment. On the question of legislation, I would refer to the remarks of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Employment on the Report stage of the Employment Protection Bill on 30th July.—[Vol. 896, 1892–6.]
