asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will attach to the new 12-man "central unit" of Treasury advisers a senior civil servant from the Small Firms Division of the Department of Industry.

The hon. Member's Question appears to be based on a misunderstanding of the nature and size of the central unit which is to be established as part of the forthcoming changes in Treasury organisation. I will write to him about this.
