Sir Bernard Braine
asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the waiting time for non-urgent appointments in general surgery, ENT, orthopaedics and gynaecology, at district general hospitals in each of the Essex districts in 1970, 1974 and at the latest convenient date in 1975; whether there have been any representations on the subject to either the North East Thames Regional Authority or to her Department by the Essex Local Medical Committee; and if she will take steps to remedy the present situation.
