asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how much money was spent on advertising jobs vacant by (a) hospitals, (b) the National Health Service generally, and (c) her Department since February 1974 to the latest convenient date.

The advertising of job vacancies in the National Health Service is largely a matter for the regional and area health authorities, and such figures are not readily available from a central source. I will send the hon. Member information about advertisements placed by the Department.
