asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection what is (a) the annual cost of producing house magazines for the various nationalised industries' consumer councils for which she is responsible, and (b) the amount in the budgets of such organisations devoted to entertaining or hospitality.

None of these councils produces a house magazine. The National Gas Consumers' Council has provision for expenditure of up to £500 this year for entertainment for publicising the council's work. There is no provision for entertainment or hospitality by the other councils, though the normal subsistence allowances are provided for members attending council meetings and for council staff.
