Mr. Costain
asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will take steps to prevent animals being brought ashore from visiting yachts from the Continent.
Mr. Bishop
It is required by law that all animals on a vessel must be declared to Customs and Excise on arrival here and must be confined on board while in port. Customs officers and harbourmasters give close surveillance to yachts and small boats and are fully aware of the importance of observing our importation regulations against rabies.
