Mr. Rost
asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he has conducted an analysis of diesel power generation, as developed by the Doxford-Hawthorn Seahorse engine, in terms of capital cost and fixed running costs per KW of installed capacity and overall thermal efficiencies, compared with existing coal, oil and gas turbine power stations.
Mr. Eadie
I have reecived such an analysis from Doxford-Hawthorn, and my officials are studying it. I believe the company are in touch with the electricity boards about the Seahorse engine.
