These figures are based on the unweighted mid-1975 population. Some of the differences between regions in the per capita figures are due to variations in the age/sex structure, the incidence of medical and dental student teaching etc.
There are no regional health authorities in Scotland and Wales and information relating to those countries are matters for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Wales respectively.
