Deliveries of basic slag to farmers qualified for subsidy under the fertilisers schemes until 31st May 1974 when the subsidy was discontinued. The amount of subsidised basic slag, including potassic basic slag, delivered to farmers in Scotland during the last five years of the scheme is set out in the table below.
