asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what have been the average fines on conviction in cases involving health risks and risks of injury to employed persons during the first six months of 1976, in England and Wales and in Scotland, respectively.

Information relating to 1976 is not yet available. The average fine imposed in 1975 in England and Wales on conviction of offences against the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 was £98. The comparable figure for Scotland is not available.
