asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has been reviewing the operation of Glasgow's overspill programme in the light of the decision on Stonehouse New Town and other developments in the Strathclyde Region.

In observations on the Strathclyde regional report, issued on 26th October, my right hon. Friend expressed his agreement with the region's view that the arrangements for overspill from Glasgow required review. The implications for particular areas are receiving consideration.
