asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will now inflation-proof all pensions against inflation to the same degree that Civil Service pensions are proofed.

Social security pensions and war pensions are already protected against inflation. Furthermore, under the Social Security Pensions Act 1975 the increase in the State retirement pension of people who have been contracted out as members of an occupational pension scheme will be sufficient to provide price protection of the guaranteed minimum pension which they receive from that scheme.
