asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many prosecutions by the Factory Inspectorate have been adjourned pending a decision in the appeal to the Divisional Court in the cases of Brunswick v. Aiken and Campbell v. Wallsend Slipway and Engineering Co. Ltd.

I am advised by the Chairman of the Health and Safety Commission that up to 1st November 1976 there have been 191 cases of prosecution by the Factory Inspectorate adjourned pending the appeal to the Queen's Bench Division of the High Court.
