asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what recent consultations he has had with the Association of District Councils on the question of the use of environmental health officers to supervise regulations under the Poultry Meat (Hygiene) Regulations 1976.

As I told the hon. Member for Louth (Mr. Brotherton) on 28th October—[Vol. 918, c. 352–353]—we have had several meetings with representatives of the Association of District Councils on this matter and will continue to keep in close touch with them.
