asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food at what price per ton in sterling the Common Market is purchasing skimmed milk powder from farmers; and at what price it is selling it back to farmers for animal feed.

The intervention price of skimmed milk powder in the United Kingdom is £520…45 per tonne. It is sold by the Intervention Board for animal feed at £304…71 per tonne. On proof that the powder has been incorporated into or processed for animal feed, the price may be reduced further to £100…25 per tonne.
