Overseas Travel

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how much money was spent on overseas travel by his Department and by the Sports Council for Wales, respectively, during the latest year for which figures are available; and, of these sums, how much was spent on travel by air.

During the period 1st January 1976 to 31st December 1976 expenditure by the Welsh Office on overseas travel amounted to £2,838 including £2,026 on travel by air. Similar expenditure by the Sports Council for Wales for the same period amounted to £1,941 and £449 respectively.
