The agreement dated 5th January 1976 between the Government and Chrysler provides that transfer prices of products and charges for services between companies in the CUK Group and other companies in the CC Group shall be determined on an arm's length basis to be disclosed to the Secretary of State.

I have today laid the following statement before both Houses of Parliament pursuant to Section 21(3) of the Industry Act 1975:
I welcome this agreement, which marks a further step forward in the relations between Chrysler and the Government. I am particularly pleased with the way in which the company has involved its employees in the preparation of this agreement. I believe this has made a real contribution to a better understanding between management and workers. Moreover, consultation does not stop at the agreement, but will continue on a firm basis as plans and policies evolve and change. These discussions add a new and valuable dimension to the relationship between the company and Government following our decision to assist Chrysler."Chrysler United Kingdom Limited has made a planning agreement within the meaning of Section 21(2) of the Industry Act 1975".
