asked the Secretary of State for Trade how much money was spent on overseas travel by his Department during the latest year for which figures are available; and, of this sum, how much was spent on travel by air.

Travel and subsistence expenditure on overseas visits in the year ended 31st Dectmber 1976 was £737,970, of which £332,530 was spent on air travel.
