asked the Secretary of State for Trade how many foreign cars have been imported into the United Kingdom since the beginning of the British Leyland strike; how this compares with the import position before the strike; and from what countries these imports have come.

The import statistics are compiled on a calendar monthly basis and the latest information available relates to January 1977. This is published under heading SITC (R) 732ยท1 in Table III of the January issue of the "Overseas Trade Statistics of the United Kingdom", which is available in the House of Commons Library.
