Mr. Biggs-Davison
asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what information he has received concerning the murder in Zambia of students who were abducted from Rhodesia; what representations have been made in connection with these Rhodesian British subjects; and with what result.
Mr. Rowlands
Although we are aware of rumours about such murders, our inquiries have produced no evidence to substantiate these allegations. I have, however, noted that both a Rhodesia nationalist spokesman and the Zambian authorities have categorically denied them.
