asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what was the estimated annual cost of maintaining the 15,182 unemployed persons in Wales last August who last worked in the construction industry, in terms of social security and unemployment benefits.

No estimate can be given of the cost because benefit expenditure is not recorded by industries.
