asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many TAVR infantry battalions are in 44 Parachute Brigade; after its disbandment how many will serve in 7th Field Force; and where the remainder will serve.

I have nothing to add to the replies given to the hon. Member on 28th March 1976 and 14th February 1977.—[Vol. 908, c. 385; Vol. 926, c. 109.]

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether, in the light of paragraph 407 of Cmnd. Paper No. 6735, it is intended that two TAVR battalions shall serve in each of (a) 5th Field Force and (b) Berlin Field Force.

(a) Yes and (b) No. The title Berlin Field Force is, as stated in paragraph 218 of Cmnd. 6735, a redesignation of the existing Berlin Infantry Brigade.
