asked the Secretary of State for Defence, after the reduction of the RAF Regiment from 12 to 10 squadrons, through the Government's defence cuts, how many will be field squadrons and air defence squadrons, respectively; how many of each category will be based in Germany; and in which category were the two disbanded squadrons.

There are five field squadrons and five low-level air defence squadrons. One of the former is based in Germany and four of the latter. One field squadron and one low level air defence squadron have been disbanded.
