asked the Secretary of State for Employment why £1,800 is being spent on creating two jobs whose task will be to replenish stocks of ants at Hartland Moor, Wareham.

I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that this project is sponsored by the Natural Environment Research Council, and is part of an ecological research programme. The two employees are to be given special training in research methods.
