asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the present situation at the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Hospital, Euston Road, and on the progress of his proposals for the short-term and long-term future of the hospital.

Interim accommodation at the Whittington Hospital to accept the remaining in-patients from the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Hospital should be available by the end of April. Provision of long-term facilities there is accepted in principle by the area health authority and negotiations on detail are continuing.
