Mr. David Price
asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will list in the Official Report the latest available figures for the average pupil-teacher ratios in infant, junior and secondary schools and in junior colleges, respectively, in Hampshire; and how these ratios compare in each category with the national averages for England.
Miss Margaret Jackson
In January 1976, the latest date for which the information is available, the ratios in maintained schools in Hampshire and in England as a whole were as follows. My Department has no recognised category of "junior colleges".

Secondary‡ | … | 16·7 | 17·0§ |
* Including junior-with-infant. | |||
