asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether Her Majesty's Customs form C273(LV) will be used for animals requiring export licences under the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act 1976; and how this will affect his Department's statistics.

No. I understand that Form C63A is used for this purpose. This does not affect the Department's statistics, which are based on the licences issued under the Act. These are endorsed by Her Majesty's Customs and Excise with the number of animals actually exported.
