asked the Secretary of State for Industry what proposals he has to assist the power turbine manufacturing industry obtain export orders by providing turnkey facilities.

The need to establish an adequate turnkey facility for the industry was recognised in the CPRS report and is being considered urgently with the other recommendations in the report.

asked the Secretary of State for Industry whether the Government will make a commitment to a firm and steady ordering programme for power plant in order to assist the plant manufacturing industry.

We shall be announcing our decisions on the measures proposed in the CPRS report on the industry as soon as possible.
