Sir Frederic Bennett
asked the Secretary of State for Defence what has been the estimated benefit in terms of expenditure in United States $ at the appropriate current exchange rate from 1958–59 to 1975–76, deriving from the presence of United States troops in the United Kingdom; and what offset arrangements, if any, exist comparable to those granted to the United Kingdom by the Federal Republic of Germany in regard to British Forces in that country.
Mr. Robert C. Brown
I shall write to the hon. Member.
